Kootenay Green is a rough, dark grey-green natural stone. The green colours vary from a spruce green to an avocado. This is a very earthy looking stone and is great for outdoor projects or bringing the outdoor look inside. Though it is mostly rough textured, it is a preferred choice for patios and stepping-stones. Kootenay green is softer than the quartzite natural stone we sell, and is recommended for floors. One ski lodge used kootenay green on their elevator floor. It’s green is great for walls and fireplaces. Kootenay green’s dark colour makes it a great heat collector for solar heating projects. Kootenay green is available in thicknesses of 1 inch, 2 inch, 2-6 inch, and mixed dry-Pac. Large chunks as well as garden rubble are also available for landscaping.
